ESPN LeBron James Advert
As this is a advert for espn, the company i am deciding to chose for the current project, i looked into this advert to seek inspiration to what the company currently uses to advertise on web formats.
The use of iconic professional athletes like LeBron James is rife in sports advertising, it gives people a reason to look at a advert and also gives them something to relate too.
When advertising ESPN i will need to take this into account and give people a reason to watch the programs it is broadcasting

Nike Adidas Web Campaign
this series of banners and adverts we made to promote the manchester united football team. The main focus of these is to convay the passion that the club has and that the are on “ANOTHER LEVEL”
Extremely strong photographic elements throughout the series

Nike Mercurial Vapor Banner

This is in a similar vain to the Adidas one i reviewed earlier as it is not a animated piece, trying to attract people into the advert with the strong contrast of light and dark colours used on the boot itself

Adidas F50 Web Banner

this is a interesting banner as it is one that has no animation, it is simply asking the reader to click to see the boot on the adidas website, it has is using a strong photograph to bring the viewer in. However i feel that it is a very narrow market as only football players would want to view this advert

EE Web Banner Review

this web banner from mobile phone company ‘EE’ is quite striking and appealing to the eye as it uses the company’s colours of cyan and yellow, this lures people towards it.

very simplistic as there is no animation it just flicks to the next scene, this is something i am seeing more and more often with web banners

Google ChromeBook Research

This is looking at the banner for the Google’s Chromebook

the banner is relatively simplistic with a white background and not much animation or user interactivity,

the animation styling is  simple with the google chrome logo being the only thing that is relatively animated. This simplistic style is common in most web banners.

Analysis and Review of Websites

Website 1: the first website i looked at was the site for “Wee Society” the website is all about creating prints for children of young ages as learning tool. the website itself is quite plain and effective with use of only 3 colours, however some of the click through links have other colours on them. The website is filled with colourful graphics and cartoons which would appeal to small childern and makes the site a genuinely nice place to be. http://www.weesociety.com/

Website 2: The second site i decided to review was for “Sennep” they are a website design company. The site is extremely plain and i would even use the word dull. there is not much activity on the site, it only has 4 pages in the entire thing. however the plainness reflects a very corporate attitude to web design. http://www.sennep.com/

Website 3: The third site i viewed was a site for “Yamago” branding themselves as “The Original Game Studio” this site is heavily reliant on Flash, you are bombarded from the start with colourful animations and pictures. When you click the enter sites the colour changes and more animations pop up! lots of click through links to other pages and all of the links are moving. There are loads of cartoons moving around the page. its very entertaining and a very fun website. http://www.yamago.net/

Website 4: The final site i wanted to review was the site for “Lumen Design Studio” i think it is a Japanese design studio because the whole thing is in japanese. The site itself is using a basic colour scheme of a black background and purple lettering. there is no much going on, on the page there is not even a picture. there is a search bar and a click through title, apart from that i dont think it has been used or updated in a long time. http://lumenstudio.net/
